Christmas Day

Lets see we got home at about 12:30 am and an hour later we were opening presents. Now don't freak out it was Christmas morning after all. We started with the doggy presents. Here are just a few images from our very early Christmas morning. Frankie got his hat, coat, new jeans, work shirts and ties, a Broncos watch and, thanks to Amber, a gorgeous Burberry dress watch, and a bunch of other stuff. On my list of favorites a Coach wallet to match my purse, also thanks to Amber - more clothes, detailing for my car, Juicy perfume, and best of all my black Tahitian pearl earrings. Yeah!!! On top of all that we got spoiled by our families. Tom and Kalyn got us new luggage for our travels this year, plus clothes, awesome gift certs, and cool car kits.

Christmas Eve

Every Christmas Eve, on my dad's side of the family, we make chicken noodle soup. Actually not we, just my dad makes it. Look at the cute bowls Kalyn got with little snowmen on them. Her tree looked amazing after my step-sister Tamara helped her decorate it. Tamara is very crafty! The soup was great and we got to open our traditional Christmas Eve present which is ALWAYS pj's. Little Alex was not to happy with the non-toy gift.
After Dad's house we took Alex home and then went to Frankie's moms house. Rose and Charlie gave us our presents early cause we (I) was dying to opening something. Frankie got one of his favorite gifts, a picture with him and his Nana, now sitting in our living room. Rose got me awesome pink Victoria Secret pj's, in true Christmas tradition. It is really nice for everyone to carry on the traditions that my mom used to do with me. From their house we went to Jenny and Troy's. We got to see all the family visiting, that even includes Jenny right now and then we watched a little Achmed before heading back home.....at 12:30 am or Christmas morning......

Christmas is coming...

As a promise to myself, I am actually going to take pictures this Christmas and post them on my blog, which is amazing.....because honestly I hate pictures. We have a very busy Christmas Eve and Christmas for that matter. And since interest rates have dropped I have been overwhelmingly busy with work, which is good and I wont complain.

As a surprise Christmas present for Frankie I actually put up a real Christmas Tree this year. We give it water and everything. You will see it in pictures come Thursday. In recent years Christmas just doesn't seem to have the same effect that it once did. Most of my X-mas stuff was mom's and it is always very hard to pull it out of the boxes and put it up, especially during the holiday. It always feels like something is missing. She was one of the happiest parts of our family and the holidays seem to remind me of that. She got excited about the dumbest gifts...honestly it was very entertaining. However, I am very much looking forward to Troy and Jenny's Christmas party and I might just be stealing Stacy Deru's costume...ha.

Fun Night Out Continued

Love this picture of Frankie and I. We went to this place called A Bar Named Sue. And it was very cool and chill. Megan and I placed a little pool with some very nice guys and we got our butts kicked but it was fun. People we were missing though.....Katie, Monica, Amber and Henry, Linsey, Ben and Carlee....the list is long....

Fun Night Out

Since I got in trouble for never updating my blog I decided to take out my camera out with us last night. Here are some pictures so you can see what we did. First one of our very favorite restaurants David's Kitchen, owned by family friends. The friend is amazing and the pot stickers our handmade, to die for!!! If your really lucky Henry will order the food for you and you wont even have to look at a menu. The top picture is of Nicole and Tim who are having a baby very soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!

August 27th is mom's birthday. She would have been 57 in Earth years I was trying to think of some fun birthday memories but not many are coming to mind right now. She seems to visiting alot this last weekend. Alex's toy were going off in the middle of the night for no reason at all.
I sure miss her alot and it is amazing how fast, yet also slow the years seem to go without her. I think about her everyday and always more then once or twice. When something exciting happens I still pick up the phone to call her until I remember there is no phone number to dial. I would normally take mom out for dinner, any place that she would want to go (sushi mostly) and then get her a gift. Normally something golf related. If my family reads this....please celebrate mom's birth and life. Take birthday to your office or play some Rod Stewart in your car. Dont feel sorrow in her death, but see only light in her life. I will always be grateful to my higher power for sending me to her.
I take hope in an old Buddhist story I once heard....after you die you cycle back through life with the same souls. Maybe the positions change but the souls are always the same, unless YOU choose to break the pattern. Well mom and I haven't broken the pattern yet and dont plan to. The same goes for my dad, husband, family and friends. I will choose to cycle many times through life with all of you wonderful people!

Update

Hi all. It has been a long month for us...so I will give a quick over view. Yesterday was beautiful Hailey's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I love yesterday, today, and forever!

Our wedding anniversary was good but uneventful. Frankie got a scooter and I got a right hand diamond ring. It is amazing. We are trying to find time have mom's birthday party but so far it has been a no go trying to get everyone together on the same weekend. Which is sad because our house and our yard are really starting to look good.

Our dumpster is coming this weekend and I am taking Friday the 25th off to clean out the "office"....scary but good too. We had a wedding on Saturday and that seems to be all we do now a days........mom's birthday is coming in August but we might just skip it this depending on where we are with the house.

Our 1 year wedding aniversary is coming up too. Maybe we will find time to celebrate it??? Hope eveyone is well.

Just for Jenny

Because I have taken so much greif for not updating this, here it goes....

Jenny says I must have been doing something interesting in the last month but clearly she does not know me well at all. Let me see...my mom came reincarnated as a turtle that my dog Maddie is in love with. My dad got a swimming pool and that is the only thing Alex will do anymore. I am trying to plan a birthday for mom but I think August 30th is Labor Day weekend and most of my family is sure to be out of town. Frankie has been told that he will find out exciting news on Friday, which means we will be looking for a new car soon. I worry about what to do with my house at least 14 hours a day and change my mind about it once a week. We have a wedding every single weekend until the first weekend of September, which now maybe when mom's birthday party is. SSSOOO Jenny if you are reading this check your schedule and post a comment back to me, what weekend works for you.

Something else...let me see...we went to the Arts Festival and I fell in love with a piece of art work that reminds me of mom. It is $1,000 dollars though so I am hoping to save the money up by Christmas so I can get it as a present to myself. It is from a local artist. Along those lines I really want to go to the farmers market down town on Saturday if anyone is interested.

ok thats honestly about it....have a wonderful month until I update next time haha

Amber and Henry's Wedding

well I don't have pictures yet bt they are soon to come. The wedding was amazing!!! The Grande America Hotel, pink roses, wonderful food, dancing all night, 2 veils, green dresses, and lots of new and old friends. The happy couple is now on their honeymoon, but will be back soon.

This Saturday is Bobby's college graduation (Frankie's brother). We are super excitied and very very proud of him. Westminster is a hard college to get out of.....he is working for the Salt Lake Bees and doing a wonderful job. See you in your cap and gown on Saturday....

Frankie in Vegas

I last promised to write about Frankie in Vegas but that trip didn't last long, only one night actually and then he was on a plane back home. I WISH I had taken pictures the next morning but I didn't. oh well.....so on to the next.

Las Vegas for AMBER!!!!!!

Well this was for sure one of the best trips to Vegas ever......Amber only has 1 more month to be single. I made new friends and had a wonderful time wth old ones. We spent the first night at Tao night club, Amber danced on a box, Katie and I waited hours for a bathroom, a random guy fell in love with Carlee, Megan shook her ass.......and then there was a long cab ride home!!! The second night we saw Thunder Down Under.....Amber is a very good actress. The beautiful girls in my group got us VIP and Brighton gave the best strip I have ever seen! The flight home was long and rough, but we made it!
Frankie will leave soon with Henry for their adventure in Vegas......

Mexico Cruise

These are pictures from our cruise in Feb 2008. Frankie won the trip from his work and when we got back he was promoted to branch manager.

One of the best parts of the trip was meeting Mel and Pierre from San Antonio. We had so much fun with them in Vegas and on the cruise. We still stay in touch.

We saw a mama and a baby humpback whale when the cruise stopped in Mexico. Loved it!!!

More DC

The first night we flew in We drove to Gettyburg which was amazing! We had dinner at the Cashtown Inn which was just featured on "Ghost Hunters" because it is an old house, now converted to an inn and an amazing restaurant. The Cashtown Inn is haunted by Confederate Soldiers, and it is totally true. My dad and step-mom got me a signed menu from the owner for my birthday present. What a great family!!!

The last 3 of these pictures are from Arlington Cemetery I totally cried and then they played TAPS and of course I cried even more. It was one of my favorite places on the trip. There are no words to explain how amazing and sad it was to be there. It also made me very grateful to know that some many people have fought and died for our freedom but my heart goes out to all those families that have lost someone.
Here is the family in front of the cherry blossom trees. They were in full bloom and looked amazing.

Here is the Lincoln Memorial. One of the coolest things we have ever seen. It is so much bigger then you can even imagine.

Here are all the names of the soldiers on the Vietnam War Wall. This is just a very small area of the wall.
