Happy Valentines Day to all! Frankie got me some very special and yummy cupcakes that said "LOVE" and "AMANDA" and them. We both got new ipods thanks to the robber and the insurance company. Mine is purple and I love it! Tonight we are going to dinner with Jenny and Troy. Cant wait because we have not seen Jenny in forever because she is living somewhere else right now and because I love her and it is V-day it is a great gift. My dad and mom got me roses and also sent us fresh boxed oranges which are so so good!!!! Hope everyone has a great day and is it spending it with someone who loves you.

I might have bought myself some new shoes too.

Just Another Saturday

Every other Saturday a small and very cute creature comes to my home and tears everything apart. Yes this would be my step-son. He and dad love to wrestle on the big couch and pillows get thrown everywhere! His bedroom (second picture) is even worse, but I was the same way so I cant get mad. I spend the whole weekend following the two of them around cleaning up and cooking food. It is very weird for me considering I don't have a mother bone anywhere in my body.

On this Saturday night we took my Grandma Elma out to dinner for her birthday, These are some fun pictures of the night.

Happy happy joy joy

Yeah V-day is almost here. It is my favorite holiday in case you didn't know that about me. I changed my blog background to share a little love. Frankie and I had considered going out of town for V-day but that didn't really work so we are leaving the weekend after. We are going to San Fran to see my good friend Jenny, her son, and husband. I have, though, picked up a few little things for the actual day of Valentines and if my husband is a smart man he will pick up some cute little things too......

Jamaica it is, but 1 stop first!

Today, after much debate and thought, we bought tickets to fly to Jamaica for Danielle and Triggers wedding. We are so excited and cant wait to hang out with all of our friends. Though we will be flying all night long just to get there.....
Before that we will head off to San Fran to visit my very good friend Jenny, her husband and her son. We will finally get to spend some quality time together. I have not been to San Fran in many years and I am super excited to show Frankie around and have a free place to stay.
Here's to safe traveling.....

Moving on ....Shall we

Thank God I am out of pain pills! Reading my last blog almost made me puck. Thank heavens I didn't old phone numbers and start dialing for lifelines......anyway. Lets just put this in black and white. NO CANCER but stitches, a deformed boob, and some pain. Lucky I don't take myself to seriously. Yes there was one full day of getting my will ready, full on crying (insanity for me, you know how I hate crying) and confessing all my hearts desires but back to normal. Actually better then normal. I seem to eat and eat and still loss weight now that I am not feeding my twin of a tumor, so I look amazing and my blood sugar has even leveled out. Imagine that.

Oh thanks Jenny and Troy for the beautiful flowers and to me husband for buying me that get well purse he doesn't know about it....and maybe even a diamond necklace for V-day???? haha You can't take it with you when you go so might as well spend it ALL while I can......

xoxo (for Amber)

A shout out!

Please forgive me this doesn't make sense or if nothing is spelled right. I will explain. Today I had surgery and it is now midnight, I am hopped up on pain killers, my husband is sleeping soundly and my dogs are lying on the floor next to my feet while I watch TV in my living room. Why surgery you ask....well on Thanksgiving I found a lump in my right breast and after ultra sounds and mammograms it turns out there was something there. They took it out today only to tell us that they still are not sre what it is and that they will have to let us know in a couples of days. That sucks but while I was laying in bed I was thinking of my loved ones so here is a shout out....

My husband, Frankie, is an amazing man. He is the complete opposite of me. Calm, big hearted, calm, loving, a wonderful parent, and a super son and brother. On my worst days he is my best side and love him so much. He is the only person that I can't fight with, because he just wont do it and then he flashes that smile at me and I cant fight anymore anyhow. I trust him completely. I have never been with someone that I trust like that and it is a very freeing feeling. He is always working on our relationship and helps it and me to become stronger and healthier everyday. This last week has been hard for us and he has been a soldier. Love it!

Dad and Mom, they are just the best aren't they? My dad and step mom (Kalyn) are opposites too, much like Frankie and I. They are the best support system ever. I had been cursing my higher power during these hard times for taking my mom, but with out fail Kalyn steps right in to save the day. I am so grateful to have her in my life. She is an amazing person and I love her so much. My dad, he means everything to me. Just talking about it brings tears because we didn't always have the relationship we do now and it changed everything in my life. He teaches me everyday how to sacrifice and let go of the past. He is my protector and my grounding.

The family! Jenny, Troy, Amy, Grandma, DeeAnn, on on on.... this is my heart. They are the people that love me and help me through my roughest times. Whether they know it or not I worry everyday about them, about disappointing them, letting them down and not being a representative of Debbie. My family is beyond generous and loving. I don't have the words to explain how much I value and admire each one of them. The same goes for my married family. My mother in law Rose sat in the waiting room all day today with Frankie. Between her and Charlie and Frank and Bobby I am truly blessed!

My girls (you know who you are). What can I say. Between you guys I have my own medical nurse, a personal shopper, a special get out of town warning, and a tax girl now too.....such amazing people to stand beside me. You couldn't possible know what your friendship means to me, Katie, Monica, Megan, Amber, Linsey, Danielle, Jana, Vet....and so many more. You have been there through my ups and mostly my downs. I owe you...

People tell me that I am strong but it is only because I have such wonderful people in my life. There is my shout out!

New Years!!!!!! Its 2009!

For New Years Eve this year we went to dinner with some of our good friends. Then we met up later with some others, but I don't have pictures of that. We went to a very nice dinner at a fun new restaurant.

Have you ever seen a better looking couple then us! Nope. I haven't either. Here is Frankie in his Christmas hat and coat. He got many complements. He could have been a super model.

More From Christmas

Christmas in our house is a huge deal! And it is so fun to have a little kid around, because we dont have many of those in our family. This year Santa left Frankie's son (Alex) a bike. He also got lots of games, movies, toys and books. He is very into super heros and Star Wars.

Here are some pictures of Frankie's family. His dad, uncle and brother.
