My sweet husband has been coveting a large wall clock for about a year now. So while I was ordering my my kitchen table I decided to get him a clock too. It arrived and we opened it up. Frankie is in love with this stupid clock. He fell even more in love when he saw it has a swinging pendulum and that it was designed by a man.

My step-sister Tamara is getting married. My mom and I decided to throw a little wedding shower for her at the Beehive Tee Room. Friends and family all joined to help us celebrate. We had a so much fun getting to know her fiance's family. The tea and food was amazing as always.
Kalyn and I made these cute little "thank you for coming" gifts. We got the tea cup from Tai Pan, the little flowers from Cactus and Tropicals, and made the care instructions on the computer. They turned out just perfect! In fact 2 of them are sitting on my kitchen table as we speak.

I wanted to get Tamara something special for her shower, so I found a beautiful necklace with a feather on it. It took me awhile to hunt it down. The feather in significant to Kalyn, and now to us. Kalyn's mom who is in heaven, leaves them for us when we are on the right path of life. Now Kalyn, Tamara and I all have our own feather necklaces.
But I got a gift too. My mom and sister spoiled me, as always! They got me this adorable little tea pot necklace as a thank you gift. it as came with a tea cup charm as well. Really, the best gift was having a wonderful day with them and seeing Tamara happy and shining!

What happened to my cute little flower girl??
She is all grown up and got a cell phone for her birthday! I thought she was going to die. I thought her mom was going to die too, especially since her grandma bought it for her and didn't tell Hailey's mom first. We took her to a Teppanyaki restaurant for her birthday dinner. She got white rice, and that is it! I made some very special coconut cupcakes to celebrate the occasion. She is still my little angel.... Love you Hay!

Cupcake wars! Yep its one of my new favorite shows on TV. My husband hates it, however it did help him to pick out a wonderful anniversary gift this year. My Kitchen Aid mixer. Maybe you think that because I watch this show or because I now own a Kitchen Aid that I am some type of great baker....well you would be wrong! I am a cake from a box kinda girl, but this show and my new gift have prompted me to expand my horizons.
fresh banana cupcakes with a honey cinnamon frosting
These were wonderful. my family and my office ate the up. They were not to sweet and not dry at all. I got the recipe from Martha Stewart. They were easy to make too!

Three years! Can you believe it? Frankie and I can barely believe it. Time has just flown by for us. We celebrated our wedding anniversary on 08/04/2010. Frankie got me a very special gift, which I have been making great use of. You will see in my next updates. It was my very first Kitchen Aid mixer! He is such a thoughtful husband. Then he took me to dinner at the Melting Pot.

Well we have finished our time with Alex, so I guess I need to update the blog so everyone can see what we did this summer. I will start with our family vacation to Bear Lake/Yellowstone. It was amazing. not only did we get to travel and sleep in class but we were outdoors too. Cant beat that! While in Bear Lake Frankie took Alex on his first jet ski ride. Alex loved it!
The wild life was so cool. We didnt get to see any bears though. We were all very sad about that. Here a few of our favorite wildlife pictures (Alex was asleep for the wolf).
On our little trip we also swim, picked flowers, saw amazing waterfalls, hungout together, rode dad and Kalyn's new bikes, picked flowers, and made smores!!! It was a wonderful trip.
